Lower Dibang Valley's gateway town, lakes, archaeology and the Mayodia climb.
Roing is the headquarters of Lower Dibang Valley district and the most comfortable introduction to Arunachal travel from Dibrugarh. It is reachable in a half-day of mostly plains driving, has reasonable accommodation, and offers enough to fill a full day.
It also functions as the base for everything beyond: Mayodia Pass, Hunli and Anini all begin here.
