Dibrugarh Gateway is the travel and vehicle rental arm of Living Roots Tours & Adventure. We work in Upper Assam and Eastern Arunachal Pradesh — the Dibang Valley, Lohit, Anjaw, Changlang, Namsai, Shi Yomi, and the tea, river and heritage districts around Dibrugarh, Tinsukia and Sivasagar.
Two things we do, both properly
The first is vehicle hire. A traveller who needs only a car from Dibrugarh Airport to a hotel, or a Bolero to Anini and back, is a complete customer to us. There is no requirement to buy a package and no attempt to convert a taxi enquiry into one.
The second is complete journeys: vehicle, driver, accommodation, permits and an itinerary that accounts for the actual condition of the roads involved.
Why local knowledge matters here
Distances in this region are not a reliable guide to time. Mountain sectors, weather windows, river crossings, restricted-area permits and limited fuel and accommodation all shape a workable plan. We build itineraries against those constraints rather than against a map.
What we will always tell you
- When a sector should not be driven after dark.
- When accommodation in a valley is basic, because in several of them it is.
- When a requested itinerary needs more days than you have.
- When a different vehicle would make the trip materially more comfortable.
