Where a sector has broken surface, river-crossing repairs, loose diversions after a slide or long stretches of unsurfaced road, the Bolero is the sensible choice — not because it is more comfortable, but because it keeps going.
We recommend a Bolero honestly rather than automatically. If your itinerary is mostly plains and good hill tarmac, an Innova Crysta or Scorpio will be a better experience.

For Walong, Kibithoo and Dong Valley beyond Hayuliang, and for Anini during and immediately after the monsoon months, ground clearance and simple mechanical robustness matter more than seat comfort.

Passenger and luggage guidance
The Bolero seats six to seven, but on a frontier route we suggest keeping to four or five passengers so luggage can sit inside rather than exposed on the carrier for two days. Soft bags travel far better than hard shells in this vehicle.

- Is a Bolero necessary for Anini?
- Not always. In dry months a Crysta or Scorpio is usually fine. In wet conditions, or when the Mayodia sector is being repaired, we may recommend a Bolero.
- Is the Bolero comfortable for elderly travellers?
- It is firm-riding. For elderly guests we suggest an Innova Crysta unless the road condition genuinely requires a Bolero.
