Anini sits at the head of the Dibang Valley and is one of the most remote district headquarters in India reachable by road. The journey from Dibrugarh is genuinely two days of travel, and any operator telling you otherwise is selling you a bad day.
The standard structure is Dibrugarh to Roing on day one, then Roing over Mayodia Pass to Anini on day two with an early start.

Leave Roing early. The Mayodia sector should be crossed with plenty of daylight remaining.
Refuel at Roing. Do not assume fuel availability beyond it.
Mobile coverage is intermittent from the climb onwards. Tell family at home in advance.
Accommodation in Anini is limited and simple. Book early rather than arriving hopeful.
Carry warm clothing year-round; the pass is cold even when Dibrugarh is warm.

November to March brings the clearest mountain conditions, and possible snow at Mayodia — beautiful, but occasionally disruptive.
Monsoon months bring landslide risk on the Mayodia sector and can close it temporarily.
