Dehing Patkai National Park — long known as Dehing Patkai or Dihing Patkai Wildlife Sanctuary before its upgrade — protects one of the largest surviving lowland rainforest tracts in India, sometimes described as the Amazon of the East.
It is the most accessible genuine rainforest experience from Dibrugarh, and it works well combined with Digboi's heritage circuit on the same or following day.
